Website proposal

A new website for Books by Kristi

Kristi, the concept you just saw shows where your site can go: clearer, faster, and built so that people searching for a bookkeeper in Waterloo Region, on Google or in AI tools like ChatGPT, find you. Here's what I found on the current site and what each option includes.

What I found

Six things holding the current site back.

The client testimonials are template filler text.

Visitors see placeholder Latin where reviews should be. It's the first thing to fix.

The three blog posts are WordPress test posts.

One reads “Testing 123.” Search engines see them as thin pages.

No prices anywhere.

Owners comparing bookkeepers often skip the ones that show no starting price.

The whole site is one page.

Google and AI tools need a page per service to recommend you for that service.

Your CPB designation isn't mentioned.

It's one of your strongest credentials and should be front and centre.

Your address differs across the web.

At least one directory still lists an old address, which weakens local rankings.

Pricing

Two parts. Take the website alone, or add search.

One-time prices. The search package is added on top of the website.

Option 1

Website refresh

$1,100one-time
  • A new design for desktop and phone, with a menu that works on every screen
  • Homepage, plus a page for each service: Bookkeeping; HST, payroll & WSIB; Tax returns; QuickBooks setup & training
  • A Waterloo Region page, an About Kristi page, and contact & booking
  • Your TuCalendi booking links kept exactly as they are
  • Your real Google reviews in place of the template text
  • “Starting at” prices on each service, at the levels you choose
  • Moved off WordPress to fast, secure hosting
  • Domain switched over without interrupting your email
A complete, modern site that represents 30 years of experience properly.

Option 2 · add-on

SEO & AI search package

  • Directory listings corrected (at least one still shows an old University Ave. address)
  • A review link and QR code so happy clients can leave a Google review in seconds
  • Sitemap, llms.txt file for AI crawlers, and Google Search Console setup
  • Your QuickBooks ProAdvisor directory profile linked to the new site
Gets you found on Google and recommended by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers.
