How much does a bookkeeper cost in Waterloo?
It depends on how many transactions you have, whether you run payroll, and how organized your receipts are. Kristi quotes a fixed monthly price after a free one-hour consultation, so you know the cost before any work starts. Starting prices for each service are listed above.
Do I need to register for HST?
You must register for a GST/HST account once your taxable sales go over $30,000 in a single calendar quarter or over the last four consecutive quarters. Below that you are a small supplier and registration is optional, though registering lets you claim back the HST you pay on business expenses. The HST rate in Ontario is 13%. Kristi can register your business and set up your filing schedule.
Do you prepare tax returns?
Yes. Kristi prepares business, personal and corporate tax returns for her bookkeeping clients, and works with your accountant when you have one.
Do you work with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop?
Both. Kristi is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Cloud Advisor. She can set up your company file, move you to QuickBooks Online, and train you or your bookkeeper to use it well.
What happens if I get audited?
If Books by Kristi handles your bookkeeping and you have submitted your receipts, Kristi will stand behind you through the audit. There may be a charge for handling it.
Can you come to my business?
Yes. Kristi offers on-site visits for QuickBooks setup and training anywhere in Waterloo Region. Consultations can also be in person at her Waterloo office, by phone or by video.
